The Bichon Blues, 1/27/2011

Charlie Cypert. from

I have two Bichons which have super fine thick hair that mats if you do not comb it daily. I tried a cheaper clipper which did not work. After reading reviews and doing research I ordered the above clippers expecting to be able to give them a good cut. After two minutes or less I gave up trying with only a small amount of hair removed, aprox. a wad the size of my finger. I do not place blame on the clippers and rate them a 4 plus. I may have been able to clip them close to the skin but did not think a good idea in the winter. I just wanted to let people know about them not working on Bichons with matted hair. I need help from someone who has experiance with these dogs under these conditions. I have gone back to using my sissors. HELP!!

Clippers, 6/30/2009

Shelle from WA

I used these clippers for 6 months on a mini Schnauzer, Yorkie and Maltese. They cut exceptionally well. They do tend to get very hot after about 15 minutes.

Not a professional groomer and this clipper is GRE, 7/6/2007

Mary Arato from Syosset, NY

We have 5 dogs, 3 that need to be groomed monthly. Its quite expensive so I figured Id invest in the clipper then I wouldnt have to have them groomed as much. We did some reserch and this clipper has the best strokes per minute. I had originally bought a Wahl cheapie but it couldnt handle the dog hair. Ive got a Westie, Cairn and a Schnauzer. This clipper is like butter! It goes through the hair no problem. Im not a professional groomer but my 3 came out great! I highly recommend it! The blade it comes with shaves quite close so I had to purchase a 5 blade for my Westie & Cairn. The 10 blade that it comes with works great on the Schnauzer. Worth the investment!
