Great Grinder, 7/22/2010

For large breed dogs, very large shear like clippers are recommended for clipping their nails, and to be honest, they look kind of scary and I wouldn't want them near my dog's paws. I bought this grinder and began to follow the introduction instructions to introduce it to my 3 month old lab puppy. I turned it on near her and she walked over to it and licked the handle part. A few hours later I decided to give it a try and I think she likes it. Every time I get it out, she comes and sits in front of me with one paw up (she already knows shake) waiting for me to do her nails. I now file them a little everyday and she seems to enjoy it and the treat afterwords. However, as I got more experienced using this tool, I found it was much easier to use without the safety guard. This is a dangerous tool as you could easily grind too much, so please, if you are looking at getting this, use the safety guard for the first few times you use it. I highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone.
