Oster Golden A5 2 Speed Dog Clippers w/ 10 Blade

 

The Oster® Golden A5® 2 Speed Dog Clipper comes with a turbo-powered motor that generates a higher strokes per minute and has more torque than the Oster® Golden A5® Single Speed Clipper. "Normal" speed is for general purpose clipping. "High" speed is for quick body shavedowns. Comes with removeable, cleanable air filters so that the 45 watt power motor stays cooler and produces a smoother, faster cutting action with a wider blade sweep. This clipper is compatible with A5® Cryogen-X™ & Elite Cryogen-X™ blades and the wider Take-Down-Quick™ wide blade series. Clippers Include Cryogen-X™ AgION® Blade with Antimicrobial - Reduces the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew.

I have owned this clipper for over 20 years..they are just now getting to the point we are thinking about a new one..I have the old A-5 from the 80's they still work fine but we now clip two standard poodles and one has really thick and curly hair her is much harder to cut. the male has no problems and these clippers have outlasted three dogs... dont know about the Golden A 5

out of the box,these clipper could not cut the fur of my dog.Read the instruction ,cleaned and oil the blades as recommend.Nothing works , seems others have the same problem,buyer beware!!!

I have not yet have any problems. I have read reviews about this golden A5 clippers. My problem is getting accessories to help control the height of a cut.

not so golden, 11/19/2005

These clippers worked fine new, but we soon found that the fan that cools the motor blows right at your hands, face and blows dog hair, like cocker spanel hair right at you. Along with a poor blade retainer, these things have not lasted us, stick with the Andis
